An Internship during Pandemic

When the second year (an entire laptop-only year) was drawing to a close, I thought, why not do something worthwhile this semester break?
The last two were not that productive; online courses, play, etc. Why not earn some money??

I went straight to the God of Internship for beginning interns like me: Internshala. I entered my preferences: 2-months max, content writing, paid preferably (that's in my mind, not in Internshala filters). Clicked Apply filters...

Boom!!! 500+ Internships available. It was 8 pm, and mom said, "You get over here and eat your dinner before I come there." The thing about mothers is no matter what the situation is -post-surgery rest, illness- they will always find the strength to yell at the "children" πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜…πŸ˜….
I weighed searching for internships with my mother's "call" and found that the scale is flat on the ground on the mother's call..... Get dinner over with and resume internship search.....

Dinner finished, and back to internship search. The first few days saw me scrolling through the various internships, reading what to do if selected and the perks involved (my eyes were more on the perks than the job description; perks first, job description next!!).

I submitted my application for numerous internships but to no avail. Then I made slight tweaks in my application and submitted it. But I waited.. waited... and waited......

Finally, a few days later, Internshala sent me a message that a company is interested in my application for a content writing internship. I thought I was selected already, but no. It seems like they want to test me out. Ok, Challenge Accepted!!!

The task was this: write a 500-word article about plumbing, including the keywords mentioned, with a website as a reference.

I'm like, 'Do I look like a plumber to you!!??'

So I started writing and sent the sample. The next day, I got another message: Your piece passed Copyscape (a Plagiarism checker). If you are willing to write at least 1500 words every day, you will be paid 7 per 100 words.

I did the math, and it seemed profitable. So I gave them the yes, and started working as a Content Writing Intern. Recently, I wrote articles that were worth 2000 in total. I was paid for that......
